The main colours are orange red, brown red and cherry red. The Specific gravity is 3.8-4.1. The hardness is 7.5-8. It's a kind of weakly magnetic mineral, transparent, luster. It has suitable harness, high toughness, sharp edge and stable chemical property. There is no free silica in the garnet product.
